Applications are being invited for a 12 month position as locum consultant physician and endocrinologist at University Hospitals Leicester, to start January 2023.

The successful candidate will have training and specialist certification in Endocrinology & Diabetes Mellitus and General (internal) Medicine and will provide a safe and effective specialist tertiary level Endocrinology service for UHL with no commitment to general medicine on the base wards.

This is a locum replacement post in the Department Endocrinology with a strong possibility of it becoming a permanent post at the end of the 12 month tenure. The Department of Endocrinology sits within the Specialist Medicine Clinical Business Unit of the Trust’s Emergency and Specialist Medicine CMG. The purpose of the post is to join Miles Levy, Narendra Reddy and Shailesh Gohil as our fourth committed endocrinologist thus continuing the delivery of a dedicated high class tertiary endocrinology service to the people of Leicestershire. It is anticipated the post holder will also take part in the acute medical take. There is no commitment to general medical wards or diabetes.
