The current Editor Tony Coll completes his term of office at the end of 2017. We are very grateful for his excellent work over the past 2 years. We look forward to working with Amir Sam as our new Editor, and Helen Simpson as our new Associate Editor from January 2018. Kim Jonas also completes her term on the Editorial Board at the end of 2017, and we thank her for her great work on the magazine.

EARLY CAREER PRIZE LECTURES 2018: CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
Abstracts are invited by 30 April from Clinicians-in-Training and Scientists-in-Training who wish to be considered for the Society’s Early Career Prize Lectureships. The winners will receive a £750 honorarium, and will present their abstracts at the SfE BES 2018 conference on 19–21 November in Glasgow. Full details on submission are available here.
JOHN WASS IS NEW GIRFT CLINICAL LEAD
Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) is a national programme to improve medical care in the NHS by reducing unwarranted variations. We congratulate John Wass (Oxford), former President of the Society for Endocrinology, on his appointment as GIRFT Clinical Lead for Endocrinology. You can find out more here.
